Growing up in a small town outside Worcester Massachusetts, Sean began his foundation for cycling by watching his dad race motorcycles while he began racing BMX. Over the years Sean won many awards and trophies for his BMX racing as well as getting involved in snowboarding and skateboarding. While still in Massachussetts Sean worked for Eastern Boarder where he gained more experience in the areas of BMX, snowboarding, and skateboarding along with invaluable business and retail skills.

Fast forward to the summer of 2003 and Sean moved to Pennsylvania to work for a BMX company called Little Devil. After a few years commuting by car and dealing with Philadelphia traffic Sean bought his first road bike. He soon started racing again and quickly moved up through the ranks. 2008 brought numerous wins and top ten finishes along with a first place in the PA BAR competition (best all around rider).

Sean attributes his success to his BMX experience, friends and family support, and his competitive yet fair edge. He likes to set goals and believes in working hard to accomplish them. In addition to his racing, Sean was also involved in charity events like the MS150 City to Shore and LIVESTRONG ride.

Sean recently added mountain biking to his list of racing activities and says the best part is that it reminds him of his roots as a BMX racer.

Sean currently works as the general manager for two local bike shops and this is where his idea of Functional Endurance Concepts began. He saw the need for people to be on a correctly fit bike, have goals and accomplish them while still enjoying riding, and still have time to see family and friends. If you ask Sean’s coworkers, friends, or family about Sean, they would say you couldn’t find a more dedicated, precise, hardworking, passionate cyclist who enjoys others’ success as much as his own.

When Sean isn’t riding, running, working, or supporting his FEC clients, he enjoys music, spending time with family and friends, and watching the Tour de France while laughing at Bob Roll.

Sean received his USAC level 3 coaching certification in 2010. In addition Sean is also trained through Trek University in bike fitting and has completed both their level 1 and level 2 courses along with being F.I.S.T certified. In September of 2011 Sean received the training for his USAC Level II coaching certification.
